Umapped is a collaborative itinerary management and trip planning tool you can use to complement your TravelContact trip builder. Use the Umapped platform to generate a live, interactive itinerary for your clients. The itinerary is available cross-platform - web, mobile, tablet, and PDF.
How do I join the TravelContact - Umapped integration?
The TravelContact - Umapped integration will be available for those of you who request it. In order to do so, simply contact your TravelContact representative.
What is the cost of affiliation to obtain the integration with Unmapped?
The cost of the integration between the platforms will be included in your TravelContact monthly payment, once you have selected the addon or any plan with the integration included. However, you must request access to enjoy these benefits. Simply contact your TravelContact representative to submit your request.
How do I send my itinerary information from TravelContact to Umapped?
Enter the trip module from your TravelContact account and build your itinerary. You can add several clients and services to your trip. Then enter to the Itinerary section where you will find a timeline of the trip. There are two buttons at the top of the timeline, click on the “Umapped” button. A new tab will open with the Web itinerary corresponding to your trip. Automatically your trip has been sent to your Umapped account. Log in to Umapped with your credentials to find your trip and add more information to the itinerary just as bookings, GDS, PNR, etc.
How is the trip building process using TravelContact and Umapped integration?
Step 1: From TravelContact. Start building the Trip by clicking on Create Trip. Fill out the required information and then click on Create.
Step 2: Within the trip you can add several clients and build the day-to-day itinerary on the services section. Then go to the itinerary section and click on the Umapped Button.
Step 3: A new tab will open with your WEB ITINERARY where you can download a PDF or use this link to send it to your clients.
Step 4: Your trip has been sent to your Umapped account automatically. Log in to Umapped with your credentials to find your trip and add more information to the itinerary just as bookings, GDS, PNR, etc.
Is the information between the platforms bi-directional?
The trip information will be sent unidirectionally from TravelContact to Umapped. However, once the trip has been sent to Umapped it is possible to edit or add content from this platform to generate a more complete and attractive itinerary for your clients. Use the Umapped platform to generate a live, interactive itinerary for your clients. The itinerary is available cross-platform - web, mobile, tablet, and PDF.
Is the Web itinerary automatically updated when I edit or add information to the trip within TravelContact or Umapped?
You can edit or add the information of a trip at any time from TravelContact. To update the trip and see the changes in the Web itinerary enter the Itinerary section and click on the "Umapped" button located at the top of the timeline, a new tab with the updated Web itinerary will open. Also if you add any information from Umapped the Web itinerary will be updated automatically.
How do I edit an itinerary I have already created in TravelContact from Umapped?
- Enter your trip from TravelContact and then go to the itinerary section.
- Click on the Umapped button at the top of the timeline.
- Go to your Umapped account and click on the same itinerary name. Start the itinerary by entering a cover photo.
- Use the various integrations and features to add more services to the itinerary. You can import bookings from your GDS, ClientBase, email confirmations, etc. Also you can add bookings into the itinerary and import confirmations and bookings from the list of integrated suppliers of tour operators.
- Add supporting documentation to the itinerary.
- Review a summary of the itinerary.
- Send the itinerary to your clients or share with another agent.
What information will I find on the Umapped Dashboard?
Access all of the trips you have sent from TravelContact under MY TRIPS tab of your Dashboard within Umapped. By default, you will see all of your Active Trips (Trip in-progress or future dated) You can use the filter options to find the trips you need.
Can I integrate two or more TravelContact accounts with the same Umapped account?
No, the accounts will be integrated one to one, which means each TravelContact account will have a unique Umapped link account.
